    Father’s Daughter: Empowerment or Disempowerment?

    This paper addresses both the personal and archetypal dimensions of the relationship between Father and Daughter with acknowledgement of the relationship of Sons and Fathers.

    Margaret draws on examples of both positive and negative relationships with father from her clinical work as a Jungian Analyst. Her focus is to acknowledge the power of unconscious dynamics when they remain unconscious.

    Margaret Caulfield  ANZSJA IAAP is a Training Analyst with ANZSJA. She is Co Director of Training, C.G. Jung Institute of ANZSJA. Before her recent move to Melbourne, Margaret was in clinical practice in Sydney, where she also lectured in Jungian theory and practice in the Post Graduate degree of

    music therapy and psychiatric nursing, at the University of Technology, Sydney.   Margaret has written and presented papers nationally and internationally. She lectures throughout Australia and New Zealand and is involved with the review, development, design and delivery of ANZSJA Training.
